Granito Giallo Veneziano
Guide

Giallo Veneziano Granite: the complete guide

Giallo Veneziano Granite is a Brazilian granite with a golden yellow background, speckled with burgundy garnets and dark crystals. It is chosen for warm, bright rooms, with the practicality of granite in the kitchen.

History and origin

It comes from Brazil and was for years one of the most widespread yellow granites for kitchen worktops and floors. The Italian name is commercial and does not indicate an origin in the Veneto. Its warm colour suits both classic kitchens and rustic interiors. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.

Look and veining

The creamy yellow background is crossed by ochre patches, black specks and wine-coloured garnets, sometimes with slight undulations. The tone can vary from light yellow to golden between batches. Polished, it looks warm and deep; honed or brushed, it becomes lighter and more natural.

Recommended uses

Suitable for kitchen worktops, bathrooms, floors, stairs and windowsills. It works well outdoors, bearing in mind that yellow stones may show slight variations in tone due to the natural oxidation of iron minerals.

Care and maintenance

Treat with a stain-proofing protector, because yellow granites are somewhat more absorbent. Clean with a neutral detergent, avoiding bleach and aggressive products that can alter its colour.

Pairings

  • cherry or walnut wood
  • white or sage green cabinet doors
  • copper or antique brass handles

FAQ

Does Giallo Veneziano stain?

It is slightly more absorbent than dark granites: with a good stain-proofing treatment it copes with everyday kitchen use without problems.

Does it go with a modern kitchen?

Yes, if paired with smooth surfaces and neutral colours; the honed finish makes it less traditional than polished.

How does it differ from a yellow marble?

A yellow marble such as Giallo Siena is calcareous, softer and sensitive to acids; Giallo Veneziano is a hard, durable granite, better suited to the kitchen.

How is it ordered?
