Epirus Beige: complete guide

Epirus Beige is a Greek commercial marble with a light beige, fairly uniform background. It is chosen for understated floors and cladding in a warm, neutral tone.

History and origin

It comes from Epirus, a region in north-western Greece where beige compact limestones are quarried and exported to many countries. These materials are sold as marbles and used mainly in residential and hotel construction. Greece boasts a very long tradition of stoneworking. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.

Look and veining

The background is a light, even beige, with small speckles or fine, barely perceptible veins. Variation between slabs is generally low, which makes installation over large surfaces easier. Polished, it looks clean and bright; honed or brushed, it appears warm and natural.
