It is a material of Turkish origin, sold under the name of the ancient city of Patara, on the coast of Lycia. It is distributed on the international market in slabs and tiles. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background is beige, from cream to a warmer beige, with soft veining or clouding. Differences between slabs are generally limited, but the consistency of the batch should always be checked. Polished, it has a bright tone; honed or brushed, a more natural look.
