History and origin
Ukraine has a large heritage of igneous and metamorphic rocks, with numerous granite varieties exported to Europe. Ukrainian red and brown granites are used for cladding, floors, street furniture and monuments. The trade name recalls the material's patchy pattern. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The reddish-brown background shows patches and crystals of different sizes, with dark quartz and black minerals. The pattern is lively and can change noticeably between slabs. Polishing intensifies the red tones; rough finishes dull them towards light brown.

It lends itself to kitchen worktops, tables, cladding, stairs, monuments and outdoor paving. Its strong pattern is ideal for statement pieces such as islands or counters. For very extensive floors the variability must be managed with careful selection.
Care and maintenance
Neutral detergent for everyday use; a stain-proofing protector on work surfaces. Polished finishes are maintained with products made for granite, without waxes.
