History and origin
It comes from Extremadura, a Spanish region rich in granite deposits, and is one of the most widespread Spanish light greys on the market. Over the years it has been used in public paving, residential buildings and kitchens. Its consistent availability also makes it suitable for large-volume supplies. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background is a light pearl grey with a cool tinge, speckled with small black and grey crystals. The appearance is very homogeneous and differences between slabs are generally slight. Polished, it looks more silvery and brilliant; flamed, it becomes almost whitish grey.

Recommended uses
Ideal for large floor areas, light-coloured kitchen worktops, bathrooms, stairs and exterior cladding. Its bright colour helps to make spaces look larger. In kitchens, on light matt finishes, a stain-proofing treatment is advisable to prevent oil marks.
Care and maintenance
Clean daily with water and neutral soap. On light-coloured worktops, wipe up oil, coffee or wine stains promptly. The protector should be renewed periodically depending on use.
Pairings

FAQ
Does Azul Platino stain?
It has low absorption, but because it is light-coloured, oil stains are more noticeable: a water- and oil-repellent treatment is recommended on worktops.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, it is frost-resistant; for paving choose a flamed or bush-hammered finish.
Can I pair it with white furniture?
Yes, it is one of the most neutral granites: with white it creates a bright space, with wood a warmer effect.
