Bianco Sardo granite: the complete guide

Bianco Sardo is a light grey granite from Sardinia with dark specks. Extremely durable, it is perfect for exteriors, paving and worktops.

History and origin

Sardinia, and Gallura in particular, is one of the main granite districts in Europe. Bianco Sardo has been used for squares, pavements, stairs, façades and street furniture in Italy and abroad. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.

Look and veining

A light grey-whitish background with black and grey grains evenly distributed. Flamed or bush-hammered it becomes lighter and rougher; polished it shows the crystals better.

Outdoor paving, squares, stairs, thresholds, façades, kitchen tops and street furniture. It resists frost, wear and weathering.

Care and maintenance

Neutral detergents for routine cleaning. Granite has low porosity and resists household acids; a stain-proof treatment on kitchen tops prevents oil marks. Outdoors periodic cleaning is enough.
