History and origin
It is one of the most sought-after Chinese granites and is also sold under names such as Padang Dark. Its success is linked to its uniform appearance and low cost compared with other dark granites. It is widely used for paving, façades, worktops and street furniture. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background is dark grey with fine black and grey crystals evenly distributed. The slabs are fairly consistent, with slight differences in tone between batches. Polished, it becomes almost anthracite, while flamed or brushed it lightens to a medium grey.

FAQ
Does flamed G654 change colour?
Yes, flaming lightens the surface to a medium grey; when wet it turns darker again. This is a normal effect of all rough finishes.
Is it suitable for a kitchen worktop?
Yes, it is hard, low-absorbency and acid-resistant; in the polished or satin version it is practical and has a modern look.
Is it used for pool surrounds?
Yes, with an anti-slip finish it is a popular choice; however, the dark colour heats up in the sun, which should be considered in very hot climates.
How do I order it?
