Granito Imperial White
Guide

Imperial White Granite: the complete guide

Imperial White Granite is a light stone with a white-grey background and a slightly wavy pattern. It is chosen to brighten kitchens and bathrooms with a durable material that has more movement than regular-grained granites.

History and origin

It is an imported granite, widely available on the international market among white granites for residential construction. Its light appearance makes it a frequent choice for worktops and floors. As with many dynamic granites, the final result depends on the block the slabs come from. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.

Look and veining

The white background is traversed by shaded grey bands and speckled with small black and sometimes reddish crystals. Slabs may differ in the intensity of the grey and the breadth of the waves. Polishing gives contrast and brilliance, while honing makes the colour more uniform and lighter.

FAQ

Is Imperial White suitable for a kitchen?

Yes, it is hard and resists heat and scratches. Being light, a stain-proofing treatment helps protect it from oil and wine.

How does it differ from Bethel White?

Bethel White is fine-grained and very regular; Imperial White has a wavy pattern with more evident grey areas.

Are all the slabs the same?

No, the pattern can change between batches. For large surfaces it is best to choose slabs from a single consignment.
