History and origin
It is quarried in Brazil and is also known as Meruoca Classico. The name comes from a Brazilian locality and it has long been on the European market in slabs and tiles. It is considered a reliable granite for everyday use. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The pinkish brown background features large feldspar crystals, with black and sometimes greenish grains. The grain is evident but the pattern remains fairly uniform between slabs. Polishing makes the crystals stand out; rough finishes give a lighter, pinker tone.

Recommended uses
Recommended for kitchen worktops, stairs, floors, thresholds and cladding. It also performs well outdoors, preferably flamed or bush-hammered.
Care and maintenance
Clean with a neutral detergent; a stain-repellent protector is recommended for worktops. Outdoors it requires no special treatment beyond an optional water-repellent.
