Yule Marble: complete guide
Yule Marble is a white marble from Colorado, with a fine grain and a very bright background. It is chosen for projects that want a prestigious white that is rarely seen in Europe.
History and origin
It is quarried in the Crystal River valley in Colorado, near the town of Marble. It is known for its use in Washington monuments such as the Lincoln Memorial and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Today production is limited and the material is considered a rarity even in the United States. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background is pure white or slightly ivory, with a fine, even grain. Some slabs show fine grey veins or golden-toned streaks. Polishing gives an almost satin-like brightness, honing a full, matt white.

Recommended uses
Suitable for prestigious cladding, bathrooms, floors, stairs, furnishings and sculpture. In the kitchen it is not recommended if you want to keep the surface intact. For exteriors it should be assessed case by case according to the climate.
Care and maintenance
Use only neutral detergents and soft cloths. Protect with a stain-repellent treatment, especially in bathrooms. Acid dulling can be remedied with professional re-polishing.
