History and origin
Finland boasts a long tradition of quarrying ornamental granites, known for their very ancient geological age and high compactness. The name Balmoral is associated with several Finnish granites, including the more famous Balmoral Red. Balmoral Green is its green variant. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background is dark green, with a fine or medium grain and lighter highlights. The pattern is generally uniform, with slight variations between batches. Polishing takes the green to very deep tones, while flamed finishes lighten it to a grey-green.
