Bianco Romano Granite: the complete guide
Bianco Romano Granite is a light granite with a white-cream background, speckled with red garnets and grey crystals. It is chosen to create warm, bright rooms without giving up the practicality of granite.
History and origin
It is an imported material, sold internationally under this Italian name. For many years it has been used for kitchen worktops, thresholds and floors in residential settings. Its cream tone sets it apart from cooler white granites. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background is ivory white, with small wine-coloured garnets and grey specks distributed fairly evenly. Some slabs may show light veining or greyer areas. Polished, it gains depth and warmth; honed, it becomes lighter and more understated.

Care and maintenance
A neutral detergent for everyday use and a stain-proofing protector renewed every one or two years. Avoid leaving oil and greasy pans on the surface for long.

Is Bianco Romano white or cream?
It is a warm white, tending towards cream, with clearly visible red garnets. Next to cool white granites it looks more ivory.
Is it suitable for outdoor thresholds and windowsills?
Yes, it resists frost and weathering. For thresholds that are walked on, a honed or brushed finish is advisable, as it is less slippery than polished.
Does it stain with oil?
Without protection it can absorb grease slightly; with a stain-proofing treatment the risk is greatly reduced.
