Botticino Semiclassico: the complete guide
Botticino Semiclassico is a beige marble from Brescia with a pattern halfway between the uniformity of Classico and the dense veining of Fiorito. It is a balanced choice for floors, bathrooms and cladding.
History and origin
Like all Botticino varieties, it comes from the hills east of Brescia, a historic quarrying area for compact cream-coloured limestones. Semiclassico is widely used in residential and commercial construction for its versatility. In the Marmi di Carrara catalogue it is listed among the exclusive materials, available in blocks, slabs and calibrated tiles. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The cream-ivory background features thin veins and more moderate stylolites than Fiorito, with a few beige patches. The slabs are fairly homogeneous, with limited differences in tone. Polished, it is bright and warm; satin, brushed or sandblasted, it becomes more matt and natural.
