History and origin
It comes from Spain, a major marble-producing country that also gives us Emperador Dark and Crema Marfil. Emperador Light comes from beds with a lighter background and has spread widely in hotels, homes and commercial spaces worldwide. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request, to pair with the Emperador Dark we sell online.
Look and veining
A light brown background, from hazel to honey, crossed by a dense network of fine, irregular white calcite veins. Compared with Dark it is brighter and less contrasted. Polished it has warm reflections; honed it takes on a more natural tone.

Recommended uses
Suitable for floors, bathroom cladding, bathroom and kitchen tops, stairs, fireplaces, frames and mosaics. Widely used in combination with Emperador Dark and with beige marbles in patterned floors. The dense veins hide small signs of use well.
Care and maintenance
Neutral detergents; avoid acids and abrasives. The calcite veins can absorb stains more easily: a stain-proof treatment is recommended, especially on kitchen tops and floors. Periodic honing for heavily used floors.
Pairings
- With Emperador Dark in checkerboard floors or borders.
- With Crema Marfil or Botticino for beige palettes.
- With dark woods and brass for warm interiors.
