Silver Wave: the complete guide
Silver Wave is a grey marble crossed by wavy, parallel white veins. It is chosen for its dynamic, contemporary effect, similar to wood grain.
History and origin
It is an imported marble widely available on the international market, popular in recent years in modern interior architecture. It belongs to the category of so-called wood-effect marbles, together with other greys with parallel veining. It is widely used in bathrooms, cladding and large-format floors. Look and veining
The background is medium grey, from pearl to anthracite. The white and silvery veins run in wavy bands, more or less dense depending on the block. Vein-cutting highlights the waves and differences in tone between slabs are normal; honed and brushed finishes give a soft, natural look.

Recommended uses
Recommended for walls, bathrooms, interior floors and stairs, including in large slabs. Not suitable for exteriors exposed to frost and not recommended for heavily used kitchen worktops.
Care and maintenance
Clean with a neutral detergent and lukewarm water, avoiding limescale removers and acidic products. Treat with a water- and oil-repellent impregnator after installation. In the bathroom, dry splashes to limit limescale traces.

Is Silver Wave a marble or another stone?
Commercially it is a calcitic marble: it has the hardness and acid sensitivity typical of marbles, so it should be cleaned with neutral products.

The veining can be oriented always in the same direction for a linear effect, or a herringbone or bookmatched layout can be chosen for more decorative patterns.
Is it suitable for a floor?
Yes, indoors. A honed or brushed finish is more practical than polished in walkway areas.
