History and origin

It comes from the Bavarian Forest area, a region with a long tradition of granite quarrying and working. Bavarian granites have been used for generations in urban paving, kerbs, steps and monuments. Look and veining

The background is grey, with quartz, feldspar and dark mica crystals evenly distributed. Variation between slabs is limited, although small concentrations of dark minerals may appear. Polishing accentuates the contrast of the crystals, while flaming and bush-hammering lighten the tone and make the surface rough.

Recommended uses

It is suitable for indoor and outdoor floors, stairs, thresholds, window sills, street furniture and kitchen worktops. With rough finishes it lends itself to squares, pavements and pool surrounds. For vehicle areas the thickness must be sized according to the loads.

Care and maintenance

It is cleaned with water and a neutral detergent; a periodic water repellent reduces the absorption of oily substances. On polished surfaces avoid abrasive powders.
