History and origin

Sweden has a long tradition of granite quarrying, especially along its western and southern coasts. The name recalls Halmstad, a town in the Halland region, an area known for its ancient crystalline rocks. Look and veining

The background mixes reddish and grey tones, with crystals of pinkish feldspar, quartz and dark minerals. The pattern can be granular or slightly oriented, with differences in shade between blocks. Polishing intensifies the red; flamed and bush-hammered finishes make it greyer and lighter.
