Kashmir Paulista Granite: complete guide

Kashmir Paulista is a light Brazilian granite, white-grey with dark speckling. It is chosen to brighten kitchens and floors with a resistant stone.

History and origin

The term "paulista" denotes the state of São Paulo, while "Kashmir" is a trade name often used for light granites. It should not be confused with Kashmir White from India, which is a different material. It is sold mainly in slabs for tops and paving. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.

Look and veining

The background is greyish white, with predominantly light crystals and small dark specks distributed fairly evenly. The degree of whiteness and the density of the speckling can vary between slabs. Polished, it looks brighter; honed, more matt and delicate.
