History and origin
It is quarried in Brazil and the name recalls the state of Minas Gerais, an important production area for ornamental stones. It is widely available in slabs and tiles for floors, stairs and window sills. Its lilac tone sets it apart from ordinary grey granites. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The light grey background shows lilac highlights from the feldspar, with black and grey crystals evenly distributed. The pattern is regular and variability between slabs is limited. Polishing enhances the violet hues; flaming makes it light grey and rough.

FAQ
Is the lilac colour very evident?
It is a tint: from a distance the material looks light grey, while up close and polished the violet highlights can be seen.
Is it suitable for outdoor stairs?
Yes, with a flamed or bush-hammered finish: it resists frost and wear and offers good grip.
What is the difference from a Sardinian grey granite?
Both are granites with a medium, even grain; Lilla Gerais is recognisable by the lilac tone of its feldspar.
How do I order it?
On request, with a quote for slabs, tiles or bespoke pieces and photos of the available material.
