History and origin
It comes from Minnesota, in the St. Cloud area, a district with a long granite quarrying tradition in the United States. Granites from this region have been used for buildings, memorials and street furniture throughout North America. Rockville Beige is one of its light, warm shades. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The beige background is formed by large feldspar crystals, accompanied by grey quartz and dark minerals. The grain is medium-coarse and the pattern fairly uniform, with slight variations in tone. Polished, it shows the crystals well; flamed and bush-hammered, it is lighter and matt.

FAQ

Yes, Minnesota granites have long been used for building cladding: with low porosity and good frost resistance they perform well even in harsh climates.
Is it good for a kitchen worktop?
Yes, it stands up well to scratches, moderate heat and food acids; an impregnating treatment is recommended for light shades.
Which finishes bring out the coarse grain?
Polished highlights the feldspar crystals; flamed and bush-hammered give a uniform, slip-resistant appearance for exteriors.
