History and origin
It comes from Brazil, where speckled white granites are a major and widely exported product. The trade name recalls the famous beach in Rio de Janeiro. It is used for worktops, bathrooms and floors. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background is white or white-grey, with black specks distributed fairly regularly. Small variations in speck density or slight hues may appear. Polishing makes the white more brilliant, honing softer.
