Rojo Coralito: complete guide
Rojo Coralito is a coral-red Spanish marble crossed by white veins. It is a stone of intense colour, chosen to add warmth and character to interiors.
History and origin
It is quarried in the region of Murcia, in south-eastern Spain, an area with an established production of coloured marbles. The name recalls the red-orange tone of coral. It is valued for decorative floors, cladding and furnishings, often combined with light-coloured marbles. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The coral-red background, sometimes more orange or darker, is crossed by irregular white veins and fine crystalline veins. The colour and density of the veining vary between slabs, some more uniform, others more veined. Polishing enhances the intensity of the red; matt finishes make it softer.

FAQ
Can it be used outdoors?
It is not recommended: sun and rain tend to alter the colour and polish of red limestone marbles. Outdoors a granite or a purpose-suited stone is preferable.
Which marbles does it go with?
It pairs well with white or cream marbles for chequerboards, frames and inlays, creating warm contrasts. With grey stones too it gives an elegant, bold effect.
What is the difference from Rojo Alicante?
Both are Spanish red marbles; Rojo Coralito generally has a lighter, coral tone, while Rojo Alicante tends towards a darker red-brown. Tones nevertheless vary from batch to batch.
