History and origin
It is one of the red granites quarried in Ukraine and known on the Eastern and Central European market. Ukrainian red granites are used for cladding, paving, memorial work and commemorative works. Their bold colour makes them recognisable in architecture. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background is red, with dominant feldspars, dark grey quartz and black specks of biotite. The grain is medium and the pattern regular, but the saturation of the red can vary between blocks. Polishing makes it bright and deep; flaming lightens it towards a reddish pink.

Recommended uses
Suitable for monuments, headstones, cladding, outdoor paving, steps and tops. In floors it also works well in combination with grey or black granites. In large interiors solid red should be used with care.
Care and maintenance
Clean with water and a neutral detergent. Polished surfaces are maintained with products made for granite; outdoors a water repellent reduces dirt.

Is it suitable for memorial work?
Yes, it is one of the traditional uses of red granites: it polishes well and engravings remain legible.
Can it be used for interior floors?
Yes, perhaps alternated with a neutral granite; in a honed finish it is less demanding than polished.
Does the colour last outdoors?
Yes, the red of the feldspars is stable over time; only the shine of the polish may diminish.
