Arktinen Aventuriini Quartzite: the complete guide

Arktinen Aventuriini is a green aventurine quartzite, characterised by tiny sparkling highlights. It combines the hardness of quartzite with a colour that is rare in natural stones.

History and origin

Aventurine is a variety of quartzite in which small flakes of mica, often chromium-rich fuchsite, produce the typical green colour and glittering effect. The Finnish name means 'Arctic aventurine'. It is a niche material, available in limited quantities. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.

Look and veining

The background is green, of varying intensity, with brilliant highlights that change with the angle of the light. Lighter areas or bands due to the structure of the rock may appear. Polishing enhances the sparkle, while brushed finishes make it more discreet.
