Magic Brown
Guide

Magic Brown: the complete guide

Magic Brown is a quartzite in warm brown tones, with a dynamic pattern full of contrast. It is chosen for characterful surfaces that also need to withstand intensive use, such as kitchen worktops.

History and origin

It is an imported material, found on the international market among high-end coloured quartzites. Its dark tones and the movement of its veins make it suitable for projects with a warm, textured feel. As with all quartzites, quality can vary between blocks and should be assessed on the actual slabs. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.

Look and veining

On a brown and smoky grey background, wavy bands in cream, sand and sometimes gold develop, with crystalline inclusions. Every slab has its own movement and bookmatched installation can produce very dramatic effects. Polished, it enhances contrast and depth; brushed, it becomes warmer and more tactile.

FAQ

Is Magic Brown suitable for a kitchen worktop?

Yes, if the batch is a compact quartzite: it copes well with cutting, moderate heat and everyday use. A stain-proofing treatment completes the protection.

What does bookmatching mean?

It means placing two consecutive slabs from the same block side by side as mirror images. With a dynamic pattern like that of Magic Brown, very decorative symmetries are obtained.

Which finish should I choose?

Polished for maximum contrast in kitchens and bathrooms; brushed or satin for a more natural look and to hide fingerprints better.

How is it ordered?

On request, with a quote based on dimensions and fabrication and photos of the available slabs, which are also useful for planning any bookmatching.
