Granito Bethel White
Guide

Bethel White Granite: the complete guide

Bethel White Granite is a fine-grained, very uniform white granite quarried in the United States. It is chosen when a bright, regular white is wanted, with the durability of granite.

History and origin

The name comes from the town of Bethel, in Vermont, an area with a granite-quarrying tradition. It is known for its homogeneous appearance, which makes it suitable for architecture as well as for funerary and monumental art. The regularity of the pattern makes it easier to match different slabs on large surfaces. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.

Look and veining

The background is pure white, with small grey and black crystals evenly distributed. Variation between slabs is low, an advantage for extensive floors and cladding. Polished, it looks brilliant white; flamed or bush-hammered, it becomes lighter and matt, ideal outdoors.

FAQ

Why is Bethel White so uniform?

The fine grain and even distribution of minerals give a homogeneous pattern, with few differences between slabs. This is why it is appreciated in large-surface projects.

Is it suitable for exteriors and monuments?

Yes, it is a compact granite that withstands frost and weathering well, and it is traditionally also used for headstones and sculptures.

Which finishes are available?

Polished, honed, flamed, bush-hammered and brushed. Rough finishes are preferable for outdoor floors and stairs.
