Giallo Damasco: the complete guide
Giallo Damasco is a light yellow marble with golden and beige veins that give it a warm, soft appearance. It is suitable for elegant interiors, from bathrooms to prestigious floors.
History and origin
The name evokes Damascus and Middle Eastern atmospheres, but it is a trade name and does not necessarily indicate where it is quarried. In the Marmi di Carrara catalogue it appears among the exclusive materials, available as slabs, tiles and solid pieces. It is chosen above all for projects seeking sunny, bright tones. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The cream-yellow background is crossed by thin golden, beige and sometimes pinkish veins, with lighter, shaded areas. Slabs show differences in tone and vein density, to be assessed during selection. Polished, it looks sunny and brilliant; honed or brushed, more delicate and natural.
