G635 is a medium-grained pink Chinese granite with grey and black crystals. It is chosen for light, warm, resistant surfaces suitable for large supplies.
History and origin
It is one of the pink Chinese granites identified by a numerical code, widely available on the international market for construction and street furniture. It is often offered as an economical alternative to European pink granites. The tone can vary from pale pink to a brighter pink depending on the batch. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The pink background is formed of pinkish feldspars, with grey quartz and black specks distributed regularly. Variability between slabs is limited. Polished, it shows a more intense pink; flamed, it becomes light and rough.
