Juparana Fantastico Granite: complete guide

History and origin

It is an imported material widely available on the international market within the commercial Juparana family, veined granites of metamorphic origin. The name highlights its particularly lively pattern. The origin can vary depending on the supplier, so it should be checked for each batch. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.

Look and veining

Grey, white and more intense pink waves run across a pinkish beige background, with crystals of varying size. The pattern changes greatly from one slab to another, with lighter areas and more heavily patterned ones. Polishing enhances the contrast and depth of the veins, while matt finishes make it more discreet.

Technical properties (indicative)

Recommended uses

Recommended for kitchen islands, worktops, fitted walls and floors. It can be used outdoors with anti-slip finishes; for large surfaces, selecting the slabs to harmonise the pattern is important.

Care and maintenance

Simple maintenance with a neutral detergent. A protective treatment every few years keeps the surface less sensitive to oils and coloured liquids.

Pairings

• elm or chestnut cabinet doors
• powder pink or terracotta details
• matt black painted iron elements
