Perlato Royal: the complete guide
Perlato Royal is a beige marble with a cream background and a fine light speckling that gives it a delicate, pearly look. It is chosen for bright floors and cladding with a classic yet understated feel.
History and origin
It is an imported material widely available on the international market, belonging to the large group of commercial beige marbles. 'Perlato' marbles owe their name to their fine, speckled texture reminiscent of mother-of-pearl. They are widely used in hotels, offices and residences for large floor areas. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The cream-beige background is speckled with tiny light grains and fragments, sometimes of fossil origin, with rare darker veins. The slabs are fairly homogeneous and lend themselves to extensive floors, although the tone may vary from cream to pinkish beige. Polished, it has a warm, brilliant effect; honed, a more matt, modern look.
