History and origin
It comes from Argentina, where the granite uplands of Córdoba province are worked for the production of ornamental stones. Argentinian pink granites are exported in blocks and slabs and used in construction and street furniture. Rosa Córdoba is part of this production, with a light, lively pink shade. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The pink background is dotted with grey quartz crystals and small black mica grains. The grain is medium and the pattern homogeneous, with slight variations in tone between lots. Polishing brightens the pink; flaming and sandblasting make it softer.

Water and a neutral detergent for cleaning; avoid abrasive products on polished surfaces. A water repellent is useful in outdoor areas prone to dirt.

How does it differ from Rosa Porriño?
Both are medium-grained pink granites; Rosa Porriño is Spanish, Rosa Córdoba Argentinian. Tone and distribution of the crystals differ: for replacements or matching a side-by-side comparison is needed.

Yes, it has low absorption and resists frost and acids; for floors flamed or bush-hammered finishes are chosen.
Is it good for an indoor staircase?
Yes, with a honed or polished finish and, if necessary, anti-slip grooves or strips on the treads.
