History and origin
It comes from Brazil and is also known by the Portuguese name Vermelho Bragança. It is one of the best-known red granites on the international market, used for cladding, paving and furnishing. Its resistance also makes it suitable for outdoor use. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The vivid red background comes from large feldspar crystals, with black and grey grains distributed fairly regularly. The slabs are similar to each other, with slight differences in the intensity of the red. Polishing enhances the colour; flaming makes it lighter and pinker.

Recommended uses
Recommended for façades, outdoor paving, stairs, kitchen worktops and counters. Indoors it is often used for accent elements; outdoors flamed or bush-hammered is better.
Care and maintenance
It requires little maintenance: neutral detergents and, in the kitchen, a stain-repellent protector. Outdoors a breathable water-repellent limits dirt and efflorescence in the joints.
