History and origin
Rosa Hurghada belongs to the family of Egyptian pink granites, quarried in the country's eastern desert areas. It is a material widely used on the Mediterranean market for residential, hotel and commercial construction. It is supplied as slabs, tiles and pieces for stairs. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background is pink with clearly visible feldspar crystals, grey quartz and dark minerals distributed evenly. The intensity of the pink can vary between batches, from softer to brighter. Polishing gives brilliance and depth; rough finishes a lighter, more rustic look.

FAQ
Can it be used as a pool surround?
Yes, with flamed or sandblasted finishes; granite withstands chlorinated water better than limestones.
How does it differ from the other Egyptian pinks?
The differences concern tone and grain: Rosa Hurghada sits between the light Rosa El Nasr and the livelier Rosa Aswan, but it is best to compare samples.
Is it suitable for a hotel?
Yes, it is a high-traffic granite, ideal for lobbies, stairs and floors in public spaces.
