History and origin
It is a granite from India, offered on the international market among the dark browns for kitchens and cladding. The trade name recalls the blue reflections of its larger crystals. As with all coarse-grained granites, the overall tone may change slightly between batches. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background is dark brown or brownish black, with lighter crystals and some with blue-grey reflections that change with the angle of the light. The pattern is granular and fairly uniform. Polishing brings out the reflections; a brushed finish gives a warmer, more textured look.

FAQ
Is Sapphire Brown very dark?
It is a deep brown that can look almost black in dimly lit rooms; in natural light the brown tones and bluish reflections emerge.
Is it suitable for a kitchen with light cabinet doors?
Yes, it is a classic combination: the dark worktop gives weight to the composition and stands up well to heat, scratches and food acids.
Does it show fingerprints and marks?
In the polished finish somewhat, like all dark granites; cleaning with a microfibre cloth easily solves this.
