Bianco Nikisiani: complete guide
Bianco Nikisiani is a white marble from Eastern Macedonia, with a light background and faint grey veins. It combines an elegant, classic look with good compactness.
History and origin
It takes its name from Nikisiani, a village in the Mount Pangaion area, a part of Greece traditionally associated with white marble quarrying. The material is exported mainly as slabs for cladding, floors and bathroom furnishings. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background is white, sometimes slightly grey, crossed by fine light grey veins of varying density. The intensity and direction of the veins change from slab to slab, so for book-matched walls it is advisable to select consecutive slabs. Polishing makes the white glossy, honing softens it.

Recommended uses
Widely used for floors, bathroom cladding, shower trays, vanity tops and interior stairs. It can also be used outdoors in mild climates with matt finishes. For kitchens it is preferable only with careful use and a protective treatment.
Care and maintenance
Neutral detergents, soft cloths and no limescale removers. In the bathroom it helps to dry surfaces after use to prevent limescale deposits. An impregnating sealer renewed periodically keeps the white even.
