Brown Antique: the complete guide
Brown Antique is a dark brown marble crossed by light veins, with a classic, refined feel. It is chosen for warm, elegant interiors.
History and origin
It is an imported marble found on the international market under this trade name; its origin may vary depending on the supplier. Dark veined marbles have always been used to create contrast in floors, fireplaces and furnishings. Marmi di Carrara has handled it in blocks and slabs and supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background is dark brown, with white, grey or golden veins forming an irregular network. The density and direction of the veining change between slabs. Polishing gives depth to the dark background; a honed or brushed finish makes it softer and more modern.
