Guide

Burdur Brown: complete guide

Burdur Brown is a Turkish marble in a warm, deep brown colour with lighter veins. It is chosen for welcoming spaces and to create contrasts with light-coloured stones.

History and origin

It comes from the province of Burdur in south-western Turkey, an area where limestones and marbles are quarried in various shades of beige and brown. It is distributed on the international market in slabs and tiles for interiors. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.

Look and veining

The background is medium or dark brown, with beige, golden or white veins distributed irregularly. Colour and pattern vary between batches, from warmer to cooler tones. Polished, it looks rich and glossy; honed or antiqued, it takes on a rustic, textured appearance.
