History and origin
It comes from Brazil, one of the world's largest producers of coloured granites. It is originally known as Amarelo Icaraí and belongs to the large family of Brazilian yellows. It is widely used for kitchen worktops, window sills and paving. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background is golden yellow, with light crystals and dark speckles distributed fairly evenly. The tone can vary between batches, from lighter to more intense yellow. Polishing brightens the colour; flamed or brushed finishes make it more matt and slip-resistant.

Recommended uses
Excellent for kitchen worktops, bathrooms, floors, stairs, window sills and exteriors. It stands up well to heat, scratches and weathering. Outdoors, flamed or brushed finishes are better.
Care and maintenance
Clean with water and a neutral detergent. As it is a yellow, a water- and oil-repellent is advisable to limit the absorption of oils. Renew the treatment every few years.
