Red Volcano Onyx: the complete guide
Red Volcano Onyx is an onyx in red and orange tones, intense and dramatic. It is chosen for statement surfaces, especially backlit ones.
History and origin
It is an imported onyx known by this trade name, which recalls its warm colours; the origin varies depending on the batch. Red onyxes are less common than white or green ones and are used mainly in high-end furnishings and public venues. Marmi di Carrara has handled it in blocks and slabs and supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background alternates reds, oranges and browns, with light and dark bands that create a lively pattern. The colour can vary considerably between slabs. With backlighting, fiery tones are obtained.
