Pink Onyx: the complete guide
Pink Onyx is an onyx in soft pink tones, from powder pink to salmon, with lighter cream-coloured bands. It is chosen for delicate, refined interiors, where it brings warmth without overly bright colours.
History and origin
The pinkish shades of onyxes come from tiny amounts of oxides present during the formation of the layers. Pink varieties are offered on the international market and used mainly in bathrooms, bedrooms and boutiques. They are less common than white and honey onyxes and should be selected carefully. Look and veining
The pale pink background alternates with cream, white and sometimes soft red bands. The intensity of the pink varies between slabs and batches, from almost white to salmon. Polished, it looks luminous and silky; honed, more powdery and soft.
