History and origin

Green onyx is among the best known on the market; the main supplies come from Iran and Pakistan, but for this material the origin varies depending on the batch. It has long been used in furnishings, decorative objects and luxury cladding. Marmi di Carrara has handled it in blocks and slabs and supplies it on request.

Look and veining

The background is emerald green, with lighter bands and veins and sometimes white or honey shadings. Transparency changes across the slab, making each piece unique. With backlighting the green becomes brilliant and vivid.
