Amazonite: the complete guide

History and origin

Amazonite is a variety of feldspar with a characteristic blue-green colour, known for centuries in jewellery and decorative objects. In slabs for interiors, the fragments are selected and arranged by hand, then consolidated with resin and polished. The result is a unique material, produced in limited quantities. Look and veining

The colour ranges from aqua green to turquoise, with the white streaks and patches typical of the mineral. The mosaic pattern of the fragments changes from slab to slab, as does the size of the pieces. A polished finish enhances the colour and makes the resin lines between the fragments clearly visible.

Recommended uses

Suitable for feature walls, bathroom vanity tops, counters, tables and furniture fronts. It is not suitable for floors, exteriors or tops near heat sources such as hobs.

Care and maintenance

Clean with water and a neutral detergent; avoid solvents and abrasives, which can damage the resin. Always use trivets, as heat can mark the resin parts.
