Adair Limestone is a blue-grey Canadian limestone, characterised by visible fossils. It is chosen for cladding and floors with a natural character.
History and origin
It comes from Ontario, in Canada, where fossil-rich limestones have long been used in construction. Its blue-grey colour and fossils make it easy to recognise. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Look and veining
The background is grey with bluish highlights, dotted with fossils and organic fragments. The tone and quantity of fossils vary between slabs. Honed, it looks understated; brushed or split-face, it is more textured.
