History and origin
Pakistan is known for its green onyxes, which have long been worked into small objects, vases and accessories. Today the material is exported as slabs, tiles and finished pieces for interiors. Look and veining
The background is light green, in places apple green, with white, honey-yellow and sometimes brownish bands and clouding. The finest slabs have uniform colour and good transparency, while others show more veining. Polishing gives a bright, fresh look; honing makes it more pastel.
